Star Wars – Photosensitive Consumer Advice

SEIZURE TRIGGER WARNING

Please note certain scenes in the new film, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” contain seizure triggers.

Thank you to Disney for working the Epilepsy New Zealand of America to ensure the safety of movie-goers with photosensitive epilepsy.

Below is the consumer advice that has been sent to all exhibitors that will be screening Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

We want to make you aware that some visuals and sustained flashing lighting effects in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may affect photosensitive viewers. Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that you provide at your venue box office and online, and at other appropriate places where your customers will see it, a notice containing the following information.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER contains several sequences with imagery and sustained flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.”

We ask that you provide this notice as soon as possible to your patrons.
