Health Sector Epilepsy Training

Our training programs are evidence-based and person-centered. Training is provided that is specific to the individual living with epilepsy. We can currently offer nurses our training session with our educators. Our current sessions will cover seizure types, seizure management, and a basic understanding of Midazolam administration.

Courses for nurses will include an online programme that provides clear, straightforward information about epilepsy so that Registered Nurses working in a variety of settings can understand epilepsy in terms of their job role. Registered Nurses will participate in an interactive evidence-based workshop..

The skills and knowledge required to administer emergency medication for the treatment of seizures are taught in the Administration of Emergency Medication course. Participants will learn how to administer emergency medication in accordance with an individual’s Emergency Medication Management Plan.
