Save the date, mark your diaries and make sure you can join us for Purple Day!
Purple Day is an international epilepsy awareness day. It takes place on 26 March every year.
A Purple Day fundraising event can take place at your school, business or workplace.
Dress purple, run purple, dance purple, bake sale purple and have your network bring a gold coin donation to your fundraiser. Every generous contribution goes toward supporting New Zealander’s living with epilepsy and their whanau.
Throughout New Zealand schools, community groups and businesses hold fundraising events for Purple Day. Create your own Purple Day fundraiser by going purple and collecting funds for Epilepsy New Zealand. A successful and simple way to raise epilepsy awareness on March 26 is to wear something purple to work or school.
To register to fundraise please complete a Purple Day Fundraising Registration Form before 26 March. Tax deductible donations towards Epilepsy New Zealand (registered charity number CC10611) can also be made online.
Purple Day is celebrated globally on 26th March. If this date falls on a weekend Purple Day can be celebrated on another day throughout March.
There are many ways to participate in Purple Day and every contribution counts towards providing support for New Zealanders living with epilepsy.
Let’s Go Purple Day! If your circumstances don not allow you to celebrate Purple Day in person, please support us on social media. Facebook pages, networks and groups are a great place to share Purple Day. Turn your profile picture purple, add a purple heart to your profile picture or post a picture of you or your pet wearing purple. Please add a hash tag #IsupportPurpleDay or #epilepsynewzealand. Please download one of our wear purple posters and post it to your page. Lets go purple on 26th March and help raise funds for epilepsy support services.
