Epilepsy New Zealand is pleased to announce that Tyler Barton will be travelling all the way from America to compete in the New Zealand Long Drive Open Golf Tournament this Sunday.

Who is Tyler Barton? Tyler is a 2 x World Long Drive Golfing Champion who is an advocate for ‘I am a voice for epilepsy’ promoting awareness in America. Here is a short promotional clip about Tyler hosted on his Facebook page:

Tyler will be here for the whole weekend attending two consecutive tournaments on 24-25 March at Omaha Beach Golf Club in Warkworth:

  • The North Island Championship 2018 – Saturday, 24 March.
  • The New Zealand Long Drive Open 2018 – Sunday, 25 March.

‘I am a Voice for Epilepsy’ aims to educate, provide support, bring awareness, encourage, and be a voice for those who no longer have one in the fight for a cure for the condition.

Epilepsy New Zealand will be attending both days to support Tyler’s efforts to raise awareness for epilepsy. We will also use this opportunity to raise much needed funds at the event to help us continue support for people with epilepsy in New Zealand.

We are looking for volunteers to come and help out on either of the two days so please text Leon on 022-573-8401 if you can lend a hand. We need to give your names to the organisers to let you in so please text us ASAP to let us know your availability by Friday 1pm! I’ll call you back that afternoon.

Visit us at our stand and help us raise awareness and funds to support people with epilepsy in New Zealand.
